The Head and the Heart - Down in the valley

Heya,

I can tell my interest in this game has been waning as it's been over a month since I last posted something. I haven't really been playing much and as such I haven't had much to say.

Beruthiel wrote an interesting post that I can relate to in many ways. I've felt relieved when raids have been cancelled lately and raiding has mostly felt like a chore for a couple of weeks. I've been choosing other activities over Azerothian ones in most scenarios. That's what non-stop raiding for 4 years will do I guess. I'm not giving up on the game though, I'm just fed up with this raid tier. Hard modes really need to be something you activate by engaging differently with the bosses rather than something you right click for a larger health pool and greater incoming damage...so uninspiring ^^ Firelands and patch 4.2 will get it right and be fun I hope.

This is why I've decided to take a break from raiding for a while. I might play a little WoW anyway but in that case it will probably be some 5 mans on alts and perhaps some archeology. I just don't have the energy to commit to being online at certain hours as things stand right now.

I'm not really expecting to write anything interesting here until I've got something to say about raiding in Firelands. It's been a while since I shared some great music so here's a treat from me.

My current favorite musicians: The Head and the Heart!

I too have been suffering from raid burnout. I still attend my raids as I am an officer and must be there to assign healing, but I expect to step down after this term is up.

I have missed you posting so it's nice to see something up here. Keep the music coming at least :)

I bought their album a bit ago and have been enjoying it :)

Nice to hear from you again, it's been a while. Hope all is well with you :)

I guess it's my blog so I can post what I want but it's supposed to be about WoW so if I did nothing but post about music I'd probably be removed from most feed readers ;)

Had you heard of them before or did you buy it after hearing them here? I saw them live in Gothenburg a couple of weeks ago and they were simply amazing.

I checked them out after you tweeted about seeing them in concert :) I have been on the hunt for new music for a little while now.

I can understand about posting about wow content. It's sad that wow seems to have gotten significantly less interesting for just about everyone I know (myself included). It's nice to see you're still alive over there though :)

I started working on my alts, and I must say I love my priest.. the ability to life grip is just awesome, I want it on my druid.

Glad to be of service :)

I managed to hit 85 on my mage recently so that's my first max level alt. Next one is the DK at 81 but I'm not sure I'm that motivated to level that one yet.

I'm playing through Dragon Age right now and I'm really enjoying it. If I'll play wow I think I'll either go for a low level shaman or hunter or maybe try some heroics on the mage. Time will tell.

I am probably about half way through the storyline (with all DLC) for Dragon Age. I like it a lot and will probably work on it more today :)

My priest was my first max level alt, she can run heroics but I am not particularly motivated for her, nor any of my 80/81s.
